INSPIRATION

A variable edition monotype/collagraph by Carol Nunan. This series began on a crisp, frost-bitten dawn walk along Hadrian's Wall during Covid lockdown — one of the few moments of freedom, when the world had shrunk to a mile's radius. Walking the Roman Military Road near the Temple of Mithras, a large frost-covered tree loomed against a stone wall and a pale winter sky. This version imagines the same landscape after dark — a frosty night on the moors, an owl swooping silently across the scene.
