A variable edition monotype/collagraph by Carol Nunan. A barn owl hunts in silhouette against a full moon, the sky a deep royal blue scattered with stars, warming through ochre, burnt and raw sienna towards the horizon — where a distant hint of Bamburgh Castle sits above the sea. Ferns, feathers and hemlock, used as masks on the collagraph plate, are hand-finished in coloured pencil to lift out their delicate detail. V/E 11/20, framed, 40 x 40 cm. £675.
