St. Oswald's Legacy VIII

St. Oswald's Legacy VIII
INSPIRATION
St. Oswald's Legacy VIII is a seascape print that combines monotype and collagraph techniques. Using a found piece of fishing net from the Isle of Bute, Carol Nunan added texture and meaning to the composition. Inspired by St. Cuthbert's Way pilgrimage route and the view of Lindisfarne Castle, this artwork pays homage to Northumbria's landscape and early Christian history, while prompting reflection on environmental challenges posed by plastic.
