Primavera - Flame Red Poppy and Art Deco

Rothesay Library, Isle of Bute

I designed this poster for the Isle of Bute Artists’ Collective Primavera Exhibition at Rothesay Library, based on my own floral monotype, Flame Red Poppy. I was pretty surprised — and delighted — when it started appearing in shop windows across town, at A3 size, posters of that size are usually rejected by local retailers. The feedback was very positive, and then someone got in touch to ask if they could buy a copy from me, at which point I thought: why not offer it to a few more people?

I've decided to make it available as a limited edition of just 10 prints. It's not something I'd usually offer — printmaking is my core work — but it feels like a nice way to share something that clearly caught the attention of some people both on and off the island.

This poster will only be available for a very limited period. If you are interested your order must be placed by Wednesday 28th May. I'll be placing a single print run after that date, so please don't leave it too late!

Two print options are available:

🌺 Poster Print (poster paper stock, non-lightfast inks)

A4 – £20 | A3 – £25 | A2 – £30

🌺 Giclée Print (archival, acid-free fine art paper, lightfast inks)

A4 – £90 | A3 – £105 | A2 – £150

The giclée option is produced to fine art standards — the kind of print that will look as good in twenty years as it does today. The price reflects the quality of the specialist paper and inks used.

Once all 10 are sold, that’s it! Postage is £3.65.
