INSPIRATION

Part of a series of original monotypes by Carol Nunan. The print started with the ghost image of residual ink from the first monotype print with additional colour added and the edges softened in the process. It features a curlew against a patterned background that evokes rock strata beneath the water — or the ghost of a fishing net. A quietly thought-provoking wildlife print from the Isle of Bute printmaker.
