Lone Tree Under A Starry Sky | Ceramic Art Tile
Lone Tree Under A Starry Sky | Ceramic Art Tile
This ceramic art tile is inspired by the vibrant monotype/collagraph landscape fine art print. The design pays homage to the iconic Sycamore tree, which rested in a dip between the Roman Fort at Housesteads and Milecastle 39 along Hadrian’s Wall in Northumberland National Park. Before its illegal felling in September 2023, this tree was a beloved subject for local photographers and artists, capturing its beauty at all times of day and throughout the seasons. This print draws on the images of the tree against the backdrop of a dark, starry winter sky, illuminated by the dancing northern lights.
