A Summer Workshop in Rothesay on the Isle of Bute
Discover the spontaneous and expressive world of monotype printmaking in this immersive monotype workshop, held in my lovely garden studio in Rothesay. This unique printing media—often described as "painting with ink"—produces one-of-a-kind prints that combine the directness of painting with the distinctive qualities of printmaking.

Over the weekend, you'll learn various monotype approaches including:
Direct painting
Reductive techniques using ink removal
Layering multiple prints
Incorporating texture and found materials
Stencil Mastery: Discover how to create and utilise stencils to produce intricate and dynamic designs.
Creative Experimentation: Explore layering, texture, and colour to achieve unique and personal prints.
