Curlew In Flight IV
Curlew In Flight IV
INSPIRATION
The endangered curlew has a certain allure with it’s haunting bird call on coastal edges and moorland. It is the iconic symbol of Northumberland National Park. Nestled in the grassy uplands and loughs during spring and summer, this lovely bird migrates to the coast in autumn and winter. Inspired by its distinctive silhouette and the stunning landscape of both NOrthumberland and the BUte coastline where I now live, my art attempts to capture the beauty of the curlews natural habitat in this print, which was crafted from a larger plate to focus on intricate details.
