INSPIRATION

‘Under Celestial Skies II’ is a contemporary seascape art print created using monotype and collagraph printmaking media together to create a series of variable edition original seascape prints inspired by the Northumberland Dark Sky status and the fact that the coast is a good place to see Auroras at night inspired this print. The materials for this plate included scored mountboard, wood filler, PVA, textured wall papers and carborundum with inked up grasses placed on the inked plate surface as the plate and paper goes through the etching press.
